Prof. Giovanni Gambaro

We are pleased and honored by the participation of Prof. Giovanni Gambaro from Catholic University, Rome, Italy as an expert speaker and chairman. Prof. Gambaro is a director of Nephrology and Dialysis division in Columbus‐Gemelli University Hospital. He is a specialist in many areas of kidney stones diseases and complications related to nephrolithiasis.

One of his strength is medullary nephrocalcinosis, and he has several publications on this topic, form pathogenesis to genetics and management. He is also delegate of the ERA‐EDTA and full member of the Scientific Board of the EULIS (Urolithiasis section of the European Urological Association). He is coordinator of the Italian Society of Nephrology commission for CME and professional training Chair of the Scientific Committee of the 2013 Congress of the Italian Society of Nephrology, Florence.

Prof. Gambaro is a clinician and researcher with remarkable scientific activities (more than 200 papers (Pubmed), 150 of which published in international journals, among which New Engl J Med, Lancet,… ). He is editor in chief of the Giornale Italiano di Nefrologia, official journal of the Italian Society of Nephrology and Member of the editorial board of J. Nephrology, Urol Res.
